Olympic Arms Manufacturer's Notes:
1. There were some odd variations and some custom serial numbers mixed in thru the years also. And, some receivers manufactured after the ban have the year stamp after the model name, not in the serial #. And if you don't see a year stamp on the receiver, it is not necessarily pre-ban.

2. Serial numbers that end in 'D' were duplicates and one was changed using this letter.

3. Recently some serial numbers have left with one or two letters followed by FIVE numbers. The last numbers are either 5's or 0's. 99.9% of these are post-ban.

4. 'Older' does not always mean pre-ban as per Corey Sattler.

5. 'BL' serial number series lowers are transitional with some pre and some post ban. If you have a 'BL' you'll have to call to verify for certain.

Neo Geo Emulation Off To A Great Start

So far there, there is only one Neo-Geo emulator for the Nintendo DS, but it is quite impressive for such an early release. Compatibility can be a bit hit-or-miss at this point (download the compatibility list for details), but it plays many games (including some newer titles) quite well. Installation Process

The NeoDS installation isn’t quite as easy as nesDS or Lameboy, but it’s not too bad if you follow the directions below. The main things to remember are that everything needs to be in the root folder, ROMs need to be converted with the included utility, and you need the Neo Geo bios file included.

Download the emulator package at official NeoDS Google Group
Extract the compressed file contents into a folder using zip utiliy of your choice.
You will need to use a couple of files from the uncompressed folder – “NeoDS.nds” is the emulator itself, and there is also a tool “NeoDSConvert.exe” which you will need to use. There are detailed instructions in a “readme.txt” file (although if you follow these steps you probably won’t need to read it).
Get the Neo-Geo ROM files you want to use, in .zip format (this is similar to MAME). The system ROM is usually named “neogeo.zip” and is necessary to run the emulator, and any games that you want to play on the emulator (for example, Metal Slug is usually “mslug.zip”).
Convert ROMs to NeoDS’s special format. You will need to use the supplied tool “NeoDSConvert.exe”. Copy or move all the ROMs you want to use into a folder (including the system ROM). Then place “NeoDSConvert.exe” (copy or move it) to the same folder, like this:

Execute “NeoDsConvert” (double click it). After a brief showing of the process through the command line, you will have a .neo file for each .zip you started with:

If you system ROM is not named “neogeo.neo”, you will need to rename it.

Then turn your DS, run the emulator, load any ROM (don’t bother running neogeo.neo though).

There are not much informations about the actual game so far but an official trailer has been released and all we can say is that we are highly anticipating this game because of the previous games in this series that were the beginning of the Need for Speed as we know it today, fast tuned cars which you can personalize however you desire. Both of the previous Underground series games are available on free PC games torrents and if you get them you will see how modern racing games started and how they progressed.

After analyzing the trailer and looking at it in detail we have came to some conclusions. The new game is inspired by some of the beloved games in the NFS series, from the customization of Underground to the world of Carbon, from the narrative style of Most Wanted to the innovation and visual of Rivals this new game is surely going to bring the best out of Need for Speed and what this games truly means. The game is scheduled for release in Fall 2015 but an official date has not been given yet.
The roam where the action will take place is called Ventura Bay and it is said to be twice the size of the one in the NFS Rivals and you’ll be able explore the fullness of the roam from the hills and canyons to the city streets full of cops that are after you.

There will be 5 ways (icons) to play this game so that you can become an “icon” and represent what Need for Speed is to you. First way of playing is called Speed and the name says it all, you live for the maxim speed and adrenaline. The second icon is Style and this is all about how you drive, the cloud of smoke that you leave behind and how many looks can you get. The third icon is Crew and this means that the game is really inspired from the previous NFS games so we presume that you will be able to build your own crew just like in NFS Carbon. The fourth icon is Build and this means that you are a true authentic mechanic who is in search for his masterpiece, a car that looks, sounds and drives like no other. And finally we have Outlaw and the title of this icon speaks for itself, you get to be chased by the cops and you will fight them to prove that you are not afraid of them in your battle for owning the streets of Ventura Bay.

Putting this all together. What is going on in a Freedrum experience?

Our drum kit is completely virtual, that is to say there are no real drums to hit, we have them mapped in our minds and our software when we play.

Simply put, we have a sensor on each drum stick and on each foot.

We then use our accelerometers and gyroscopes in the sensor to measure (relative to a start position) which angle we are pointing the sticks/feet (and therefore which drum we are pointing at) and we measure how fast we are moving the sticks/feet (how hard we are hitting the drum).

Great, so we know which drum we are hitting and how loudly we are hitting them. But how do we make a sound in our headphones?

Well we need a way to transmit that information: enter Bluetooth. Perfect, bluetooth lets us transfer information from our sensors to a computer / mobile which is at short-range (our drum stick sensor is only a few metres from our mobile / computer).

But what kind of information do we want to send and in which language? We want to do it quickly (so we minimize the delay between hitting the drum and making a sound - lag/latency) so we don’t want to include anything unnecessary when we are talking. We want to convey which drum was hit, when and how loudly. Fantastic we can do all that by talking MIDI.

*So what is MIDI?

Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) is basically the language we use to talk to digital musical instruments. In MIDI messages we communicate a lot of musical information: Including a A note's notation,pitch (which note we play),velocity (which is heard typically as loudness or softness of volume);vibrato;panning to the right or left of stereo (if we hear the note equally in both headphones, more in the left or more in the right); andtiming information (which sets the tempo)

In this tutorial today, I’m going to run through some of my favorite instruments to use when making beats in Garageband.

Some of these are plug-ins you’ll have to download, some will require gear, and others just come stock in the software. The vast majority, however, are completely free. They won’t cost you anything.

Regardless, I’ll explain where and how to get the instruments that don’t come stock in Garageband.

Let’s jump into each one – they’re in no particular order.

1) The Steinway Grand Piano

This is the stock piano that comes with Garageband. When you first open up Garageband and select “Software Instrument,” and the interface opens up on your screen, you’ll be given the option on the left-hand side: “Piano,” and then “Steinway Grand Piano.”

It says on the left-side, “Bass,” “Drum Kit,” “Electronic Drum Kit” and so on and so forth. Click on piano, and then it says, “Steinway Grand Piano.”

Truthfully, stock pianos are never that great, however, with some reverb, delay, and a bit of ambiance, I find that a lot can be done with the stock piano.

For instance, using the Channel EQ on the piano can introduce an entirely different mood to the sound. If you click on the Channel EQ, you’ll notice that the mid-ranges have been attenuated (diminished) just a little bit.

What I like to do is actually boost the mids a little bit. I find this gives the piano a more natural sound to it, but that’s just me.

If you’re looking for a nice pre-set to try, try this one:

It’s also worth noting that this piano comes with a ton of different presets and patterns that I’ve highlighted in the image below.

These pre-sets can actually be used on every software instrument in Garageband, so give it a shot.

On the top-right-hand corner of the piano’s interface in the Smart Controls, you’ll notice there is a little icon. Click on it, and it brings up a ton of different pre-sets that are awesome.

You can adjust the note order, the rate at which they’re played (speed), and also the octave range.

2) 4 Front Piano

Let’s say that you hate the Steinway Grand Piano and you’re looking for something that imitates the real thing a little more. In that case, I would recommend picking up the 4Front Piano.

You can customize it using plug-ings the same way, including compression, EQ, reverb, delay, and so on.

3) DSK Dynamic Guitars

Due to the fact I’ve played guitar my entire life, I’m really not fond of the stock guitars that Garageband has to offer.

I love the Amp Designer, but the stock VST guitars are not good. Thankfully, we can download plug-ins to fix this issue.

I recommend grabbing the DSK Dynamic Guitars plug-in which you can grab at the same website I mentioned above, VST4Free.com. The link for the exact page is here.

If you don’t like this Dynamics Guitar plug-in, they have other ones which in my opinion are pretty amazing.

4) “Drum Pro” Plug-In From Studio Linked

I can’t praise this plug-in enough, it’s my favorite drum machine plug-in to use, both for its Trap Drum Kit as well as it’s Hip-Hop drum-kits which are pretty sick too.

This plug-in comes with around 20 different kits, and it has some functions on it, including panning, decay, sustain, reverb, attack, release, and volume knobs.

It’s really worth your time to go through each one and figure out the kits and individual instruments that you like.

  In an announcement of new OneDrive features coming to the mobile clients, Microsoft said that it will be ending support for OneDrive on OS X 10.10 Yosemite and 10.11 El Capitan on February 1, 2019. The news isn't surprising, as Apple isn't even supporting the older versions of its OS anymore.
  If you're still using the OneDrive sync client on Yosemite or El Capitan, don't worry, as it will continue to work. You should still think about upgrading to a newer version of macOS though, as you're pretty much running in an unsupported state. The client will no longer be tested on those OS versions, and issues won't be investigated or fixed after February 1.
  Also, new installations of the sync client will be blocked on OS X 10.10 and 10.11. That means that while it will continue to run for the time being, if you uninstall OneDrive or reset your PC, you won't be able to get it back.
  Microsoft is recommending that you upgrade your Mac to at least macOS 10.12 before February 1, but for the best experience, you should go for macOS 10.14 Mojave. After all, you'll need to be on the latest version of the OS to get OneDrive Files On-Demand.

  Windows 10 continues dominance on Steam with 57.28% userbase

  It was only a couple of weeks ago that Valve announced that its Steam client will no longer work on Windows XP and Vista come January 1st, 2019. While Windows Vista seems well and truly consigned to the dustbin as far as Steam usage is concerned, Windows XP 32-bit continued to endure with a diminutive 0.22% in May 2018. The results for June 2018 have now been published and it's a good opportunity to look at some of the general trends across the board.
  Windows 10 64-bit continued to increase its dominance at the expense of all other versions of the OS, increasing its share by 1.5% to 57.03%. The only minor exceptions to this were Windows 10 32-bit and Windows XP 32-bit, each clawing back a paltry 0.1% of the Steam userbase. Outside of the Microsoft ecosystem, macOS and Linux garnered results of 2.93% and 0.52% each, representing a loss of 0.12% and 0.29% respectively compared to May 2017. This is perhaps not the best result after Valve re-affirmed its commitment to SteamOS and Linux a few months ago after it hid Steam Machines from the Steam Store due to low traffic.
  As far as CPU hardware is concerned, Windows-based quad-core systems surrendered 0.94% but remained by far the most popular configuration amongst Steam users with 59.57% while dual- and hexa-core CPUs made gains of 0.35% and 0.62% respectively. While the small gain in dual-core adoption on Windows may seem somewhat strange, it is not unprecedented over the course of the general decline seen over the last 18 months. Furthermore, it also appears that June 2018 is the first time that Windows-based 18-core CPUs beat the two decimal place round off, with its first 0.01% chalked up according to the detailed CPU stats.
  Over on the GPU side of things, Nvidia was once again the most popular manufacturer with its video cards found in just shy of three-quarters (74.32%) of systems surveyed by Steam. Meanwhile, AMD lost 0.1%, falling back to 15.1% but this result is somewhat consistent with those for the two prior months for the company.
  Results prior to that were skewed by a bug that Valve squashed as of the April 2018 results, but it does appear that Team Red continues to lose ground to Team Green, with none of the former's GPUs appearing in the top ten, as well as Intel's HD Graphics 4000 claiming the tenth spot.
  VR headsets are also tracked as part of the Steam Hardware & Software Survey although only 0.7% of all gamers on Steam have VR hardware according to the latest stats. At present, it still remains largely a two-horse race between the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive totaling 0.33% and 0.32% respectively across their variants, comprising 93.75% of the surveyed VR userbase on Steam. Windows Mixed Reality made up the remainder of the VR userbase with its strongest result since making an appearance at all in the survey results.
  Of course, it's worth a reminder that participation in the Steam Hardware and Software Survey is optional and, as such, actual results may deviate somewhat from that which has been captured.

  Apple has launched a new Data and Privacy website in order for the company to better comply with the new GDPR rules coming into effect in the European Union on Friday. While the service is available in the EU right now, it’s expected to be released worldwide in the coming months.
  Once logged into the service, you'll be able to see the data that is associated with your account, delete your data, or download it. Information that you’ll be able to find pertains to sign-in records, bookmarks, contacts, documents, photos stored in iCloud, app usage stats, App Store purchase history, and AppleCare support history.
  In order to download a copy of your data, if you live in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Norway, press the Get started link below ‘Obtain a copy of your data’ then tick the categories that you want to download. After selecting the categories you’ll be asked how large the archives should be, you can choose 1GB, 2GB, 5GB, 10GB, or 25GB - then hit complete request. You’ll be emailed once the archives are ready to download.
  Aside from downloading your data, you can also request corrections to your data, deactivate your account, and permanently delete your account. The latter will see Apple wipe all the information they hold on you, great for those who no longer need an Apple account.

  Apple releases Meltdown and Spectre fixes for older versions of macOS

  Apple released its round of bug fix/security updates - including iOS 11.2.5, macOS 10.13.3 High Sierra, watchOS 4.2.2, and tvOS 11.2.5 - today. In doing so, it also offered some security updates for Macs running older versions of its OS, including OS X 10.11 El Capitan and macOS 10.12 Sierra.
  The security updates mainly focus on the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities, which were fixed for High Sierra users a couple of weeks ago. OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan got the smallest update, including fixes for IOHIDFamily, Kernel, QuartzCore, and Wi-Fi.
  As for the Sierra update, it's available for machines that are running macOS 10.12.6. It includes the above fixes, but it also includes improvements for Audio, LinkPresentation, Security, and there's an additional Kernel fix.
  Obviously, it's recommended that you install these updates as soon as possible. Meltdown and Spectre are significant vulnerabilities, so you're going to want to stay on top of any fixes that are made available now, as well as moving forward.

The problem is with the.zip file that is the only way to download the latest version of the Easy Print Manager, the operator gave me a.dmg file that works fine (a little fiddling, eg make sure you use the HP uninstaller rather than deleting the old application first).
Just installed the new Mac OS 10.15 only to find HP isn't supporting it yet. Any idea where a driver can be found so this Envy 7645 printer is useable? Or, when HP will provide an updated driver? Printer worked great with 10.14 and last available driver.

A Brand Name to Rely On

The Championship Manager series is one of the best-selling PC brands in the U.K., and probably in most of the soccer-playing world. This of course excludes the United States, where the game has never been published. And that's a shame, because American gamers who don't find a way to import this one don't get to see what the world's most detailed sports management game is all about. On paper, Championship Manager 's lack of in-match graphic highlights should relegate it to the world of soccer has-beens, yet despite being a text-only game it offers a level of depth and immersion unsurpassed elsewhere.

Back in the days of Championship Manager 2, the UK version of the game came with separate add-on European league packs. Now, in Championship Manager 00/01, you get no fewer than 26 leagues from around the world, all playable either singularly or concurrently for what amounts to a massive simulation of world football featuring some 50,000 real life players. The latest league additions are Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Turkey, Greece, Russia, Poland, Croatia, Finland, and Australia, with the data for all these circuits being bang up to date for the start of the 2000/01 season.

While most gamers will jump into the game to manage their favourite team, this mammoth virtual soccer world will (if you have the CPU power to run all the leagues simultaneously) let you play out an entire management career, applying for jobs with any team in the game. As time passes, you build a reputation that will enable you to command respect and maybe land that plum role with Man Utd, Lazio, or Barca. Of course, you can also just start off in charge of one of those illustrious teams, but working your way up from the lower leagues is a real challenge, made all the more enjoyable as the virtual soccer world changes around you as players retire and teams gain promotion and relegation.

One of the new features is the option to play the game with fictitious player names. Given the fact that a good number of fans have discarded their lives and loved ones to assemble the game database, this may seem an unthinkable option. Yet one of the dilemmas you face in playing CM is that because the players are real, and represented by at least 30 stats and attributes, you pick teams based on your perception of real players, rather than their CM counterparts. This can be a problem if you don't take the time to analyse all the player stats (though because time stands still when playing the game, this is less likely to be an issue as your game proceeds). By playing with 'random' players, you have to learn their strengths and weaknesses, including a dozen or more hidden attributes, and you're not coloured by your preconceptions.

Being a glutton for punishment, I invariably play CM as Plymouth Argyle, the team I've followed since primary school. Not for me the dizzy heights of Man Utd. This of course makes the game a real challenge. If you play as Man Utd you get a bank balance of £40M, all of which is available to spend on players. Start it as Plymouth and you'll get maybe £100K, of which less than £10K can be used on new players. Given that free transfer players want a suitcase full of cash to sign for you, your options are limited (though I found the Scandinavian leagues a good source of quality, cheap players). This problem is compounded by the fact that if you sell a player for, say, £250K, you don't get a similar rise in your transfer fund. You have to have a certain reserve (a few hundred thousand) before you can spend what you bring in freely. Bloody useless chairmen. Likewise, a good cup run can bring in money, but you won't always be able to spend it (I got £180K from one home FA Cup game against Arsenal).

Skimming off the Water

Having the board shackle your actions is frustrating, yet unerringly realistic. Another new feature of CM 00/01 is the increased richness of the dialogue coming from your coaching staff, the press, and the players. You might be prompted to comment on speculation that one of your players is about to sign for another club, or to criticism of one of your players' recent performances. Coaching staff will report on players' hidden stats when searching for prospective signings---e.g. 'Fred Smith takes a very good penalty'---but while you'll recognize some of the old CM 99/00 dialogue, the text certainly adds to the immersive appeal of the game. The text has been expanded in the match dialogues too, so you'll now see passes 'skimming off the water' on wet days.

The other new features are also relatively minor, yet each enhances the game atmosphere or playability, and can't be considered a mere token addition. The live league table available during games lets

- If you want to erase any other type of storage device: Double-click Disk Utility in the /Applications/Utilities folder.
Choose View > Show All Devices.
In the sidebar, select the storage device you want to erase, then click the Erase button .
Click the Scheme pop-up menu, then choose GUID Partition Map.
Click the Format pop-up menu, then choose a file system format.
Enter a name.
(Optional) If available, click Security Options, use the slider to choose how many times to write over the erased data, then click OK.
Secure erase options are available only for some types of storage devices. If the Security Options button is not available, Disk Utility cannot perform a secure erase on the storage device.
Click Erase, then click Done.

If you are using macOS 10.13 or later, you'll also see an option named APFS, which is the default file system of macOS 10.13 and later. APFS is a new file system for macOS. It's the most appropriate format for flash drives and SSDs. However, in order to write to this file system, you need to have the latest macOS.
Step 1: Select the USB drive to format. Connect the USB drive or pen drive to your computer. Download and launch EaseUS partition software. Right-click the USB drive you intend to format and choose 'Format'.

Note: With a solid-state drive (SSD), secure erase options are not available in Disk Utility. For more security, consider turning on FileVault encryption when you start using your SSD drive.

The console is a powerful tool you can use to change settings and features on-the-fly while playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Using it is incredibly easy, and doesn’t require any setup.

To bring down the console window, press the [`] tilde key in-game.

Type your command into the console, then press enter. Commands usually have a # numerical value — replace # with a number to change the setting. For settings that can be toggled on or off, use 0 for off, and 1 for on.

Also, it’s worth noting that console commands DO NOT disable Steam Achievements.

This topic discusses keyboard and mouse HID client drivers. Keyboards and mice represent the first set of HID clients that were standardized in the HID Usage tables and implemented in Windows operating systems.

Keyboard and mouse HID client drivers are implemented in the form of HID Mapper Drivers. A HID mapper driver is a kernel-mode WDM filter driver that provides a bidirectional interface for I/O requests between a non-HID Class driver and the HID class driver. The mapper driver maps the I/O requests and data protocols of one to the other.

Windows provides system-supplied HID mapper drivers for HID keyboard, and HID mice devices.

Architecture and overview

The following figure illustrates the system-supplied driver stacks for USB keyboard and mouse/touchpad devices.

The figure above includes the following components:

KBDHID.sys – HID client mapper driver for keyboards. Converts HID usages into scancodes to interface with the existing keyboard class driver.
MOUHID.sys – HID client mapper driver for mice/touchpads. Converts HID usages into mouse commands (X/Y, buttons, wheel) to interface with the existing keyboard class driver.
KBDCLASS.sys – The keyboard class driver maintains functionality for all keyboards and keypads on the system in a secure manner.
MOUCLASS.sys – The mouse class driver maintains functionality for all mice / touchpads on the system. The driver does support both absolute and relative pointing devices. This is not the driver for touchscreens as that is managed by a different driver in Windows.
HIDCLASS.sys - The HID class driver. The HID Class driver is the glue between KBDHID.sys and MOUHID.sys HID clients and various transports (USB, Bluetooth, etc).

The system builds the driver stack as follows:

The transport stack creates a physical device object (PDO) for each HID device attached and loads the appropriate HID transport driver which in turn loads the HID Class Driver.
The HID class driver creates a PDO for each keyboard or mouse TLC. Complex HID devices (more than 1 TLC) are exposed as multiple PDOs created by HID class driver. For example, a keyboard with an integrated mouse might have one collection for the standard keyboard controls and a different collection for the mouse.
The keyboard or mouse hid client mapper drivers are loaded on the appropriate FDO.
The HID mapper drivers create FDOs for keyboard and mouse, and load the class drivers.

Important notes:

Vendor drivers are not required for keyboards and mice that are compliant with the supported HID Usages and top level collections.
Vendors may optionally provide filter drivers in the HID stack to alter/enhance the functionality of these specific TLC.
Vendors should create separate TLCs, that are vendor specific, to exchange vendor proprietary data between their hid client and the device. Avoid using filter drivers unless critical.
The system opens all keyboard and mouse collections for its exclusive use.
The system prevents disable/enabling a keyboard.
The system provides support for horizontal/vertical wheels with smooth scrolling capabilities.

Driver Guidance

Microsoft provides the following guidance for IHVs writing drivers:

Driver developers are allowed to add additional drivers in the form of a filter driver or a new HID Client driver. The criteria are described below:
1. Filters Drivers: Driver developers should ensure that their value-add driver is a filter driver and does not replace (or be used in place of) existing Windows HID drivers in the input stack.
  - Filter drivers are allowed in the following scenarios:
    - As an upper filter to kbdhid/mouhid
    - As an upper filter to kbdclass/mouclass
  - Filter drivers are not recommended as a filter between HIDCLASS and HID Transport minidriver
2. Function Drivers: Alternatively vendors can create a function driver (instead of a filter driver) but only for vendor specific HID PDOs (with a user mode service if necessary).
  Function drivers are allowed in the following scenarios:
  - Only load on the specific vendor’s hardware
3. Transport Drivers: Windows team does not recommend creating additional HID Transport minidriver as they are complex drivers to write/maintain. If a partner is creating a new HID Transport minidriver, especially on SoC systems, we recommend a detailed architectural review to understand the reasoning and ensure that the driver is developed correctly.
Driver developers should leverage driver Frameworks (KMDF or UMDF) and not rely on WDM for their filter drivers.
Driver developers should reduce the number of kernel-user transitions between their service and the driver stack.
Driver developers should ensure ability to wake the system via both keyboard and touchpad functionality (adjustable by the end user (device manager) or the PC manufacturer). In addition on SoC systems, these devices must be able to wake themselves from a lower powered state while the system is in a working S0 state.
Driver developers should ensure that their hardware is power managed efficiently.
- Device can go into its lowest power state when the device is idle.
- Device is in the lowest power state when the system is in a low power state (for example, standby (S3) or connected standby).

Activating buttons 4-5 and wheel on PS/2 mice

The method used by Windows to activate the new 4&5-button + wheel mode is an extension of the method used to activate the third button and the wheel in IntelliMouse-compatible mice:

First, the mouse is set to the 3-button wheel mode, which is accomplished by setting the report rate consecutively to 200 reports/second, then to 100 reports/second, then to 80 reports/second, and then reading the ID from the mouse. The mouse should report an ID of 3 when this sequence is completed.
Next, the mouse is set to the 5-button wheel mode, which is accomplished by setting the report rate consecutively to 200 reports/second, then to 200 reports/second again, then to 80 reports/second, and then reading the ID from the mouse. Once this sequence is completed, a 5-button wheel mouse should report an ID of 4 (whereas an IntelliMouse-compatible 3-button wheel mouse would still report an ID of 3).
